(assuming the thing actually happened and it wasn't just an elaborate fish tale to explain the one that got away) does the fact that the robbery occurred in a boat - piracy - instead of a marina parking lot open the robbers up to a whole new set of charges?

My own vote is that it does, but I'm not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV.
