He's done a bunch of work on Shady Lady and although we didn't talk shop (the salt mine kind) I believe he's still working on medical scanning stuff. He seems to be in good spirits.
Although I've known him for years we've always sailed and raced on different boats so this was the first time we've actually sailed together. I can attest that he's got a nice touch on the helm and a good way with the crew. It was a pleasure and I'll be back onboard this weekend for another regatta.
There's no question that it'll mean something to him that he's missed here.
