Northeast Oregon and Southwest Washington in and around the Columbia Gorge are huge into wind power. There are hundreds if not thousands of the big ones out there. We see the blades, towers and heads being shipped along I-84 all the time. We stopped at a rest area where a 2-truck convoy (plus pilot cars) were taking a break on their trip out from Minnesota. After pacing them off we chatted up the drivers and found out they were actually 132 ft... and WIDE. They have to carry them at a tilt to make the height/width limits.
