A couple of years ago I bought some Honey Teak and used on our teak hatch boards. It has worked well but I only used about 1/4th of if the first time around. By the time I got back to it the next year to do some trim the hardener had evaporated. The supplied container does not have a good cap seal. They must use some platinum carbonate to make Honey Teak judging from the price.
Last year my son and I restored an old motorcycle, including the paint. The ureathane clear top coat smelled familiar... I picked up a quart including hardener and thinner for $34.00 at our auto paint supply store and am going to try it one what little exterior teak we have. The auto paint has a track record of withstanding UV but how it will adhere to the teak remains to be seen.
