I need to re-rivet a couple of dogs on my Lewmar Superhatches. The nosepieces with my rivet gun are too fat to fit inside the small countersunk cavity where the rivet head goes, so my nosepieces won't work. I've asked around at a few hardware stores and can't find one. I guess I could grind one of the hex-heads down to fit inside what looks to be about 1/4" counterbore diameter of the dog, that's about 1/4" deep. I met a cruiser last year in the Bahamas who had small, tapered nosepieces for his rivet gun that fit inside the counterbore, that worked great. I wonder where I might find the right nosepiece ?
