Using Magic ISO and an sd card, you could have most of your installed app cds on one sd card.

Since I began using Magic ISO a couple of years ago, I mothball all cds that come into the office. An ISO copy gets put on the file server and every machine runs magic iso, so it's easy to install stuff on any machine off the network. It would be the same thing here, only it would be coming off the sd card, instead of the network.

Very sweet. Better than a laptop, because I use a wireless keyboard and mouse even with the laptop and that takes up extra room on the nav desk. With this, I would mount a flat screen on a swivel on the half bulkhead in front of the desk and only the keyboard and mouse would be on the desk, itself. When a movie is desired for the wee ones, the monitor would then swivel to point at the salon, instead of having to prop up the laptop so it can be seen over the half bulkhead.
