See if you can talk them into going to Combombia
In Response To: Holy Cow! ()

It's only a few miles from the East Lemons. We found the most incredible snorkeling island a dingy ride away.

If you do get to the Combombia anchorage the snorkeling island is off to the right when you're facing the island in the anchorage. There are about 10 palm trees on it and all around are the most spectacular coral we've ever seen. Everything is alive with giant barrel corals, brain coral, black coral, striped coral, strange and beautiful fan coral in every color of the rainbow not to mention all the fish. What got us was that everything was alive and beautiful.

We've never seen anything like it before.

One of the cruisers on a Hans Christian called Leeward opened Lobitos bar and grill and surf emporium on this over the water sleeping platform that had been abandoned. We'd go there every day at cocktail hour and have a good time.

If it's hot the beach is a wonderful place to hang out. We were there one hot afternoon and scrounged enough small clams to have a great appetizer. They were right at the waters edge. Just dig in the sand and pull them up (with a little luck).

Highly recommend Combombia.
