When I first got into sailing in the early '70s there was a large racing yacht called 'La Forza Del Destino,' (owner's favorite opera) homeported in Sunnapee, NH. AFAIK, Sunnapee is a ski town in the mountains. I have also heard of boats home ported in Denver and in the middle of the NM desert.
