Hah! Made it work. Here's the hull, freshly turned over, for my Power Pelican being built in the land o'Goshen south of Eugene OR (if you ever wondered where the land o'Goshen is). I had the hull materials kicking around for nearly 20 years, have lost my motivation for big..or not so big..projects so having my LAST boat built by a feller who specializes in Pelicans of either size. He has the strongbacks, molds, etc.
This boat will be strictly power cruiser, low horsepower, economical, trailerable behind my Forester. I designed the interior to be simple, roomy, easy to perform the boating chores. Simple galley, two long, decently wide bunks. No going on the foredeck, all anchor and bow mooring work done from the large quite large forehatch.
I have the anchors, chain, rode, fenders and sundries for galley, etc. left over from boats I've built or owned over my forty years of being predominantly a small boat sailor. Time to use them all up on my LAST boat...the one that will be used, not just refurbed, eh? It says so here in the book.....
