which is a Whitby 42 that owns our friends Bryan and Debbie. The others in our 'posse' were old friends and former neighbors Damon and David on Bruadair (Hans Christian 33), Jaime and Dan on Nereia (Baba 35) as well as new friends Harry and Elaine on Zydeco (Beneteau 38) and Frank and Gretchen on Infinity (J40.) I think Jan on Winterlude knows some of this crowd.
Nereia will be continuing on their circumnavigation of the Caribbean which will end in Florida. They and 'Uhane will be heading up to Bocas del Toro in another month or so. Most of this group will still be knocking around the San Blas while you arrive. If you run across them be sure to stop and say hi. They're good folks. Strange, but good.
We may be rendezvousing with some of this group in Cartagena in June or July. We'll see.
I'm sure I've completely misused the terminology when I spoke of our snorkeling. We were anchored at Nabadup initially. We dinghied over past Combombia to the islet next to it. We swam on the reef that encircles it. On the outer side of the reef the depths would drop off rapidly from the 6'-10' range to 50', 100' or more (I couldn't see the bottom.) This what I meant when I spoke of the "outside." We did the same thing when snorkeling the northeast side of "Disneyland."
p.s. - congrats on your parade. Sounds like a hoot.
