I watched the video and it seems the protesters carefully positioned themselves in way of the whaling ship. They had the speed and maneuverability to do so. Putting their own lives on the line to do what? Temporarily slow down or stop a whaling ship? These protesters can't be playing with a full deck.
For the record, I have eaten whale meat and enjoyed it.
