It's midnight here in PV and a squall just

came through with reports from around the bay of 45 to 70 knots. We're are in a marina so didn't take much of a hit, more in the 30 knot range. You should have heard the radio! There are some really ugly people out tonight. Some poor woman on the radio was in full panic mode and instead of trying to reassure and calm her down people were telling he to shut up and get off the radio. There were a few f-you's tossed around and a general civil breakdown of the boating community. I wasn't very proud of my fellow boaters at all. There is a guy who owns a sail making shop in town that gives the weather every morning on the net who got onto Ch 22 and was giving the fleet a low down of what was happening. Granted he should have taken it of CH 22 but I think he just made a mistake and started talking weather on the hailing channel. People were all over him saying really mean things and sounding, well, down right junk yard dog mean. Totally uncalled for. It was a really bad night in PV. Maybe it's time to think of moving on...
