We spliced 1/2" 8 plait to 1/4 in chain...

Which is overkill for our boat (26') but when I see it stretch I still wish I had tried to get 5/8" plait through there - has a better hand for one thing ...and inspires more confidence visually

- FWIW, I would normally do 5/8" 8 plait to 3/8" chain.
