There is a flat piece of thin flexible plastic

that is cut from corner to corner. As the boat rolls to port the FS drops allowing the water to flex open the plastic triangles. As the boat rolls back, the plastic triangles flop back down against the frame web and causes the drag through the water that slows the roll. I put one out om my spinn pole and the other off the boom pulled out as far as it will go. We sit pretty still while others are rolling all over the place.
