Baby Blake marine head...

"Baby Blake Right Hand Toilet Manufacturer Part No. : TBB0717 Add to Your Catalogue £9,999.99"

"Now manufactured with improved gland (pump top) seals."

For ten thousand pounds they sure as hell oughta have gotten it right the first time......

I'd seen these referred to in prior posts and wondered about the price. WOW! It isn't even gold plated but it oughta be.

What confused me was my purchase of what I recollected as a Baby Blake for my old boat, Passage, in about 1980. The British pound fell to an even exhange rate with the dollar and I bought a CQR, the Blake head, and some other stuff in England and could have it shipped over here for less money than I could buy it for here. It was my only attempt at dabbling..shall we say, in currency speculation. But I digress. I think I paid less than 400 bucks for my small Blake head but it didn't look like the ones for 16,000 dollars today. I got it 'cuz it was small, fit snugly into the area just above the turn into the bilge in my FG molded wineglass hull. I thought it was called a Baby Blake due to its size but the memory is vague and it may only have been called a Blake or somesuch. It was/is a ceramic bowl but with a compact horizontal lever action pump size closely positioned to the bowl for the tight fit. It was also low slung for compact height. It was a great potty but I looked around a bit this morning and couldn't find it online. As a marine head, it was nicer than any porta pottie though about the same size.
