what do you have for panels ? I like that set-up by the way, looks nice, groovy antenna farm. We have Sea Frost engine drive along with the 12V system, and for somebody like you, who moves every day or so, I would think ED would be huge in cutting your energy use down, assuming most of yours goes to refrigeration. If we move in the morning or afternoon and the engine is on for at least 30 minutes, the 12V won't come on at all during that day. For somebody like you who has oodles of cash, wants the very best, and has the $3m pad on the water (that hasn't lost a nickel in value during the last 24 months), I might recommend Eclectic Energy's D400 wind generator. I was next to a boat in the Bahamas last winter, they had two on the stern, it was blowing 20+ and you could hardly hear them. Personally I can't see ever having a wind generator, I'd rather go without an energy hog, but I do like these units. I like the AIS too, installed the Simrad AI50 this fall and loved it for the trip down the coast and to Bahamas this winter, very nice. And yup, installed 7 Alpenglows last year and I LOVE them ...
