I think the white-white is a bit blue, and also a bit harsher. As it is -- it hurts your eyes to look right into the LEDs, even off-axis.

At this point I would not put incandescent lights on a boat unless it's one that would only be used when the engine is running, such as a steaming light, or one that's only rarely used, for a few minutes at a time (such as a deck flood). LED and florescent are the way to go for all new lights.
