At some point, the monohull simply becomes a windsurfer -- except that the crew isn't 50% of the total displacement, it's just several percent in this case. I don't think this hull will ever approach the record speeds for a windsurfer. Isn't a windsurfer a monohull? (Oh, we mean a displacement hull -- except that this boat will be plaining...

It's kind of trick pony -- might be interesting for limited situations, but don't go riding across the country it.
