Hi DDW, it sounds like you

have a busy summer planned. There are a lot of nice spots to check out on the way down. In the Northumberland Strait area, Shediac NB has a couple marinas and a nice beach. It's a busy summer tourist town but if you like something quieter Buctouche is also very nice. It's a narrow channel into there but has a nice little marina. PEI isn't far away and both Summerside and Charlottetown are popular. Charlottetown is a nice city to walk around. I'm planning to go to the Bras D'Or in August and plan on spending some time in Baddeck. I keep my boat in Nova Scotia in the Mahone Bay area and think it's great. South of Halifax you can explore Rogues Roost near Prospect or go to St. Margarets Bay and explore some nice anchorages. Hubbards is quaint community with a marina. There is a Lobster supper spot there and a dance on Saturday nights! Mahone Bay has a lot of islands and coves to explore. Chester and Mahone Bay are very nice and worth seeing. Lunenburg is a little further south and is famous for a reason! You can anchor there or rent a mooring from the Yacht Shop. I like Liverpool. The marina there is very friendly and the pulp mill is surprisingly easy to ignore : ) Port Mouton has Carters Beach which sports pure white sand, big dunes and stupidly cold water. It's protected except from the east but there are options for that. I plan to go there again this summer. Shelburne and Barrington are popular jumping of spots for Maine. I haven't been there for years but hear that they are nice spots.
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
Best regards,
David
