That rig looks like one that was featured years ago

in Woodenboat Magazine- I've got the issue somewhere. That one was designed by a fellow called Fetzer (or such) around the 30's or 40's and used a hull shape he derived from a dhow IIRC. It is a very cool rig and the original boat ended up sailing out of Chester Nova Scotia. According to the article it offered a lot of flexibility and in some ways looks to me like the early DNA for a Freedom or Nonsuch. I'm sure someone around here can fill in the details.
