I have a rode loop (continuous), 30 feet total that goes from the boom/mast furler back to the cockpit = on its way to the cockpit it goes though a harken deck organizer and then into two spinlock clutches.
I had a new rope made up and when I went to deal with the deck organizer, I see that it has no cover plate - so i can't run a pre-made loop through it. I can get around this by rigging a couple of blocks.
So I get to the clutch and I pull them apart. Now I can run the loop though them. I assemble it back together only to see that the stainless rings on the inlets/outlets don't split. I could leave them out, but it looks kinda lame. Is there any rope clutch that can split in half and the get reassembled with all parts intact (a true split clutch)?
