This is a very high-fowling area (perhaps even worse than FL, probably because of the fertilizer nutrient run-off of all the suburban manicured homes and generally turbid water). Boat usually gets used minimum 2x week, or more.
Anyway -- my experience is that it works pretty well on the blades, with only minimal hard growth and no soft growth. Any hard growth pops off easily. The Prop-Koat depends on water velocity, and the shaft and hub are a whole different story -- lots of growth of every type, and it requires brushing/scraping at least every other week to keep the growth build-up within reasonable amounts. I do think it makes it easier to pop off the barnacles, but not a big difference.
On the plus side, you get enough in the can to treat at least 10-20 large sailboat props (mine is 19"), and going into my 3rd year I expect the stuff will go bad in the can before I use it up, so it's a LOT less costly than prop-speed, which I have read mixed reviews on. Still using it, but would like to find something better.
