all the lewmars i've had either used a circlip or bolts to hold the top down. this one has neither. instead the intructions say to unscrew the top.

i've tried, but don't want to apply too much pressure as it appears to be made of plastic. i'm pb blasting it and tapping it with a plastic hammer but so far no movement.

has anyone ever taken the 'top' off an st30? just out of curiosity, does it perhaps unscrew in the 'other' direction??? or am i reading the directions wrong???
