I tried a sample about 3x3 feet on top of Micron Extra -- it adhered well and the anti-fouling was as good as the Micron after one season in a high-fouling area (Western Long Island Sound). It accumulated some slime which wiped off easily, and zero hard growth.
I'm going to use it this year on the aluminum skeg that guards my prop, and use Hydrocoat on the remainder of the boat. (Trilux hasn't worked very well on the skeg -- that stuff is junk IMHO). Hydrocoat is as effective as Micron Extra, but low VOC (water based) and half the price ($89/gallon at Defender's Spring sale price). I've used Hydrocoat before and it wore well. Hydrocoat is also a great bottom paint for inflatable RIBs that are kept in the water full-time. I've been using it on my RIB since 2003.
