After a long day getting the boat ready to launch, I took a 6" sander to my old dink.

All I can say is, thank god for 60 grit. That old beauty is not what she used to be.

I built it when our son was born and he's headed off to college this fall. But spring time goes fast, you can see by the foliage. You may also notice, my lawn needs mowing....

I'll need a dinghy in a few days, and the paint better be dry. There's not much left of the keel I noticed after 18 seasons on the rocky coast of Maine.

As they say in Maine, putty and paint, will make 'er, what she ain't. Will she make it to graduation? Will he make it?
