I got a 10%-off site-wide notice at WM and convinced myself that an AIS-1000 at $450 would be a good investment

LOL! ... and the Admiral couldn't argue with a "safety" expenditure. How can you put a price on safety? (big grin) BTW -- I'm using it with Coastal Explorer and it's way-cool to have that extra info, and it will be reassuring to know ships can "see" us in low-vis conditions.
