Is this a new feature of the BB?

I enter my password - WITHOUT clicking on the Delete button and then hit Enter - I thought that was the correct way to get into the original message to edit it

After I hit Enter - I get a message that my original message was deleted

What is the CORRECT way to edit a message I originally posted?

The problem seems to be that under some circumstances, that I can't localize, the Delete & Edit button options do not appear to the left of the Password box - in that situation it appears that Delete is taken as the default option - shouldn't there at least be a Confirmation Request? e.g. "Do you really want to delete this message?"
