Last winter in Newport...
In Response To: Fun to watch the start and shadow the race for a couple hours.

() I met several well-to-do couples that are/had been NYYC members. One couple had a big Nordic Tug or something and another had a Pearson 32. One quit when they realized the only benefit was access to the high priced meals inside. One guy said the door to the club is open through the Newport Historical Society (read donations). Last summer I was anchored in front of the club for almost a month and got to see the comings and goings. Rage/envy.
