I've know a number of people that have used Chris Ford --their comments were pretty good (for the most part). I think they are okay to deal with. Like anything else, if you know what you want and make sure they understand it, you'll have less issues.

Both of them will be at the Boatshow in Annapolis with booths. You can call them before or see them at the show. I think you can do some "deals" now which might be better if you contact them sooner than later.
