Probable Broken fuel pump diaphragm
In Response To: Any gas engine experts? ()

If so, Rx is disconnect & BYPASS the mechanical pump and apply a 12vdc electric pump (auto store stuff) wired to a 'safety switch'.

Safety switch is standard (auto store stuff) oil pressure safety switch, when oil pressure drops below set point the fuel pump cuts off .... apply switched electrical bypass around the 12vdc pump to allow starting during 'hard start conditions' - cold weather, low batt., etc. when you are not generating sufficient oil pressure to keep the engine (safety switch) running.
