We have wine glasses aboard, brandy sniffers,

and Martini glasses as well. this is our home and it's the little things that make it so. Drinking wine out of a plastic cup for dinner every night just doesn't quite get it. For passages, except for the wine glasses, they are stowed in there dedicated holders with blocking devices to hold them without movement. The wine glasses are held in a rack that hangs in the galley. They stay fine up to about 20 knots at which they are stowed in the sink dish rack. We've lost a couple over the last 15 years but it's always been from washing them. You can kind of see the rack on the starboard side of the picture which is held in place with the small line while underway. I've had the rail under more then a few times and never a problem.
