I just need new rigging. First of all, it's original (1985) so it's been on the radar anyway. When I last went up the mast a month ago to replace a bulb I did some cursory inspecting and noticed a good deal rust and corrosion at most of the fittings, soooooo, when the decision was made to replace the sails it became that slippery slope of 'if you're doing this, it makes sense to do that and on and on. With retirement and full time cruising just a few years away it just made sense.
