and it was a greasy mess. Between the hoses that leaked, and the pump that seemed to emit a bit of oil with each stroke... it was a royal PITA. And it was brand new.
On the other hand, the "fluid extractor" works great. Simply put all the parts in the right place and give it a few pumps, and it is hands free. I worked on the anchor while I was draining my old oil... Multitasking!
I let the used "hoses" rest, open end down in a small trash can (with a liner and paper towels) to drain, and then capped them with fingers from disposable gloves... that was about the extent of the mess.
