The Company that raised the boat is called RMI Marine. While they were working with their divers to place the bags tied to the rail and under the boat, volunteers were cutting a path from where the boat sank - to shore. No easy task......ice was 10 to 12 inches thick! They were using chain saws and old fashioned ice saws to make a path 16 feet wide and 1000 feet long to the dock. Cutting the ice for the path was one thing......clearing the ice out of the way was another.
