Hey Todd.

HR Rasmus 35's (and also the old HR 41) came with 75 hp Volvos and many if not most of them still have them. Mine was repowered with a 58 hp Westerbeke (still pretty big for a 35 foot 12,000 lb boat) over 20 years ago, I've had it for the last 13 years, and nothing has ever gone wrong. Since I always hear complaints about parts and service on both makes, I always wonder how come I've never had any serious trouble (knock wood), and also most of the Volvos are still in. I figure the answer is that the boats are overpowered, so there's very light wear on their engines. It's just a guess, but maybe whichever engine, it's good to err on a little more power than the math tells you.
