As Peggie mentioned, Bob Perry's 30 year old son passed away on Saturday. While I am beside myself with grief, I cannot imagine the sorrow Bob is feeling. The number of lives Bob has touched is uncountable. He is a lead character in the play of sailors. And while a large majority of us have never met Bob, we are deeply touched by his loss.

In short order, the sailing community has come together to establish a fund in Spike's name. This fund will promote growth and knowledge in the marine industry through institutions dedicated to those pursuits:
