There will be some new things in Rockland and surrounding harbors this season.
In Response To: A dreary Bay, indeed. ()

I think the folks that do the Compass Cafe' on main street are opening the restaurant on the water. I can't think of the name but it was closed last year I think, maybe longer. Just off the public park area. Lots of marinas in Rockland now plus plenty of protected anchoring space.

And in Belfast a new marina will open this spring for essentials if you're up that way. That's exciting for the area.

Rockport Harbor will be unchanged. Dockage at the public landing and moorings available from Rockport Marine. Always good for a day stop and not bad overnight if there is a north wind forecast. There's a new popular pub fare restaurant and bar in the harbor. Also a full service fish market in town with everything from lobsters to wine.

Camden Harbor will see the most boats as usual. By sure to say hi to my daughter, you'll hear MJ on the vhf in that area. She takes care of boats coming in and out of Wayfarer Marina on her summer break.
