up the other day and and moved out of the anchorage and into a slip. I needed to wash all the mud off the deck that the deputies had tracked all over the place while pulling up the anchor by hand. While washing the SS bow pulpit I noticed that they had pulled the anchor chain up into the bottom of the horizontal bottom rail instead of straight back there by scratching the it all to hell. That really set me off and back to the harbor department I went. It ended up with having the Orange County Crime lab coming out to the boat to take pictures of the scratches because the Sargents camera wouldn't show the damage in enough detail. Now I have to deal with getting the scratches polished out, submit a claim and wait two months for it to be processed. That's the original 200 bucks to get the boat out of impound, most likely another two or three hundred to get the scratches polished out and one hell of a lot of effort to get it all done. I feel like I was just beat over the head with the Dana Point Harbor welcome mat...
