Caught on video, how common do you think using auto antifreeze is?

Our local newspaper website, goerie.com, has a video today of an old Marinette being launched at our old marina on Presque Isle State Park. All goes well until the camerman tilts down to the water as the engines start and huge plumes of bright green auto antifreeze spread out of the twin exhausts into the protected water of the park. Nothing was done of course.

I know that many of the old timers at our club also sneak auto antifreeze into their engines when winterizing. Depending on who you talk to, they either won't spend the extra few bucks for the blue -100 non-hazardous, or they say they don't trust it.

How common do you suppose it is?
