Pulled into Ft. Lauderdale yesterday afternoon and took a slip at Bahia Mar for the night. What an intimidating place. Before I turned off the electronics I looked at the chartplotter and Yikes!,,,, 46 AIS signals coming from all the mega-yachts in the neighborhood.

I guess I could have been intimidated but instead all I saw was wasted money. A lot of wasted money and,,,, a lot of ugly giant loaves of Wonder Bread. Just like most of the houses. An incredible amount of money and not much taste.

Perhaps I'm just reacting to the fact that I was shocked at how many people have tens of millions to feed their ego and throw away.

Jeez!
