We have a regatta just outside of Boston, MA the first weekend in August that we've always wanted to attend & never made it. So this year, we're thinking of towing the Y Flyer to Lake Lashaway, spending a few days in the area - Mystic Seaport etc. and then heading to Maine right after the regatta -- approx Aug 8 - 18-ish. Of course, this is a last minute plan, so I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to stay for a few nights here or there in that 10 day period. We'd like to hike & enjoy the national park/do some photography, lighthouses, shoreline etc.

Any recommendations on general areas where to stay or anything else we should consider to enjoy our first trip to Maine. Hopefully we'll enjoy it so much we'll bring the boat north in the next few years. But until then...
