Magazine article search

This is really an off the wall request, but here goes. In one of the sailing related magazines I either subscribed to or was given there was a very short article with an associated cartoon style drawing. The article was written and submitted by an older couple traveling on a larger boat. They described a scene where they were aboard their boat tied at a dock and watched a family empty out of a small sailboat tied at an adjacent dock after a period of rainy weather. They described how a dad, mom and then small children came out of the companionway (the cartoon picture showed the family trooping down the dock in order of size). The couple were amazed at how many people were aboard and traveling on such a small sailboat.

This past weekend I was talking to a husband and wife at our club. They described a scene many years ago when they first started cruising the Great Lakes on board their Catalina 27 with four young children. After a period of rainy weather they all came out of the hatch one at a time to the amazemnet of an older couple sitting on a boat next to them. Our frinds said they were amazed at the size of the boat with just two people on board and wondered why they needed so much room.

It just seems like too much of a coincedence? For the life of me I can't recall what magazine it was in. i would really like to find it and see if it was our friends.
