What keeps water running the Panama Canal, this dam. Also all the power to run the canal zone comes from this damn. Last year a Yacht was washed down the river and put on the reef cause the owners were exhausted and anchored in the river, didn't listen to the VHF announcements about water the dam might be letting go, and the boat with them in it was wash (yes it was anchored) out the river and up on a reef at the mouth of the river.
