Thirty-three years ago, my wife and I spent our honeymoon cruising northern Lake Michigan in my 26' sailboat. Our most vivid and unforgettable memories of that trip relate to South Manitou Island.

My wife thought it would be fun to return to South Manitou Island in our current boat (a Rival 32) for our anniversary. Now, as then, we encountered stormy weather. This photo is of squalls over North Manitou Island at sunset last Wednesday.
