The discussion here too place so long ago, I didn't realize that Iain was your nephew. Our broker mentioned something about "parents" who were experienced sailors from maine, but I didn't make the connection.

I'm not so sure about the old saying that the two happiest days in a boater's life are when they buy the boat and when they sell it. I've always found selling to be a bittersweet experience.

But I'm glad the boat will be in good hands and have further adventures.

Is Iain still planning on coming up this weekend? We will be around until next wednesday, then out of town for a while. If we can help, please let me know.

FWIW, the boat is on the hard, but still pretty close to the water. If we get a substantial storm surge, it doesn't look like the best place to be.
