There may be lower power ones out there, but the evenness of the light produced and the color quality is very appealing. Power consumption is about 40% of the old halogen reading lights, but I think the light coverage may be broader.

We replaced overhead halogens with Imtra red/white units. First on for red, then off-on for white.
