I've been at a couple marinas where the pump out apparatus is situated near the potable water hose. On at least one occasion I've been offered the opportunity to put a little fresh water into the holding tank. After that I've never looked at the end of a potable water hose quite the same. What lurks on the end of that hose? I'm considering getting a short hose connector to help isolate the issue, so to speak, but to date I refuse to take on potable water at a dock where a pump out exists. Maybe I'm being paranoid, my dad always said what you don't know doesn't hurt you. Curious if anyone has thought about this issue.
