a long run to the heater I see your point ... as the run we have to the galley sink is easily 5 times the run to the head sink which gets hot water almost instantaneously ... to work with that if were trying to conserve H20 we always save the water at the galley sink "before it get hot" for using to rinse dishes, or use a fresh water flush in the head.

In order to alleviate that I would suggest mounting the heater close to the source that is likely to get used the most.

I can only speak of mine and a fellow dock-mates experience in that the Paloma has never let us down ... I must admit that the tech who rebuilt ours also clearly explained how best to use the Paloma which no doubt over the years has been a great help to better utilize the heaters capabilities, as it was obvious the previous owner was clueless on how to maintain and best use it!
