I have a 25 year old Lewmar Ocean series large #70 hatch at the VB, I'm thinking about replacing with the new model. I've seen the Oceanair Skyscreen / Roller shade combination units, they look nice, I know Lewmar has a knockoff model as well. Now, I have a nice teak frame trim around the hatch with a roller shade fastened to that, and we have a custom made screen that snaps on to the teak frame for bugs ... the teak trim looks good varnished up, it matches what I have elsewhere on my other hatches, I should probably stick with this.

I'm wondering how folks like Oceanair combination units ... do they work well, are they made well, do they last, etc. ? Are you happy with them ? I would chose the surface mount unit.
