I use OCENS for getting WX and we are in the Bahamas from mid-November through May. I know that buoyweather supplies the data for some of their products, and many locations in the Bahamas use them for the "virtual buoy" type of forecasts. I've been using OCENS for years and find that buoyweather is about as accurate as most of the others. Since most forecasts are derived from GRIBS it makes sense. Chris Parker can be way off the mark, as he's using GRIBS also. It seems that when there is a big error, they're all that way. I guess if the source is off, then any extrapolation will be off. At the end of the day, I like Buoyweather because of what you state...and it's easy.
